Welcome to the Upper Darby Township Police Website

I am pleased to announce that the 2009 Upper Darby Police Department Annual Report has been completed and can be viewed by clicking on the link to the right.

In this report, you will get a glimpse into the inner workings of the department. See how we are partnering with you, the community, in an effort to keep our township safer. Learn about our command staff and the various divisions they supervise. View the list of awards given to our many brave officers for their meritorious service and conduct.

In addition to the annual report, the department has undertaken many new objectives aimed at assisting our neighborhoods. For example, many of our officers have provided guidance to our children by becoming mentors in area schools. The importance of this outreach cannot be understated. Officers forming bonds with students in the classroom break down barriers. As a result, relationships flourish and a lasting, meaningful partnership is formed.

By no means does the police department stand alone in this endeavor. With the formation of Upper Darby Police Foundation, the community has come forward to show its support of its police department. The first annual Police Foundation Gala generated assistance and encouragement throughout the county, and as a result, police activities focused on DNA testing, training, and problem solving are furthered. So, as you can see, the Upper Darby Township Police Department strives to be a dynamic, ever-growing agency that aligns itself strongly with the public. Without the community's backing, crime prevention methods are weakened and our neighborhoods are more vulnerable. Only with a resilient alliance can we counter those that menace our wonderful community. I thank you for your continued support and look forward to building upon our growing relationship.
